Kenyatta university has produced half of kenya's top models

 Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology  (JKUAT) students rioted a week ago. They were protesting the school hospital’s negligence that had claimed the life of a student.

In the pandemonium that ensued, the irate students broke into the school lab where they made away with rabbits and herbs set aside for a research project. A number of students sustained injuries and are still recuperating from a thrashing they got from cops summoned from the nearby Juja police station.

While the melee was going down, students from Kenyatta university were in school. Deeply engrossed in their studies. As if to cement a win over the the two contesting universities,  Kenyatta University  city campus has organised  Mr and Miss KU . An event set to go  down on Friday, March 18 2016. 
A common joke passed between the two universities has KU students calling JKUAT, “Juja Boys”. The origin of the joke stems from the low population of women enrolling for courses in JKUAT.The event will see 20 models take to the runway to battle it out for 2016’s best. The event will be moderated by comedian Chipukeezy Kenyatta University city campus has produced some of Kenya’s feted models. Miss Earth Kenya 2015, Linda Gatere, Charity Mwangi, Miss Kenya 2015 and Idah Nguma, Miss Kenya 2014 all hail from Kenyatta University

Gospel singer Gloria Muliro famously known for her hit song ‘Mpango Wa Kando’ has now come to terms with her marriage break up that lasted for five years.

Gloria revealed that she decided to walk out of marriage for various reasons but most important is the peace of mind.

“One of the things I appreciate and will never take for granted is peace. One time, I remember asking to understand how peace feels like. I was lost, but God found me and I have collected myself. The person you are looking at now is very different now,” Gloria was speaking on KTN’s Sunday programme, Tukuza.

The gospel singer parted ways with pastor Eric Omba Miko in 2015. The two lovebirds by then, walked down the aisle in 2009. The colourful wedding promised to be one of the best union but turned out sour after Gloria realised that her better half had ‘weird characters’.
Gloria accused Miko of having a mpango wa Kando, love for money and abusive. Despite all the challenges she tried to hold on to the marriage but things did not work out.
  
“He even wrote down a set of rules that I had to follow. In that first month, he sent me over to a friend’s place saying to teach me how to cook and keep good hygiene only to discover that I was being turned into a house girl,” Gloria said.

Gloria added: “He went back to our house and expressed delight at how he was happy at home without me. In the first year, he packed my clothes and asked to escort me away. He had gotten violent over time and he offered no space for communication and dialogue. Someone may ask why it took me five years. I was determined to make it work. I am not saying I tried my best, no. I did my all best in fact.”

DJ Pierre Makena reveals she broke up with baby daddy

The other day, in fact less than a week ago, celebrated female disc jockey Pierre Makena revealed that she is expectant and will be a mother soon.
The DJ posted photos of her five months pregnant baby bump and confirmed that for the first time she will be a mother.
The photos caused much talk on social media, with many asking who the lucky guy is who managed to win Pierre’s heart.Fans, many of whom revere her as the hottest female spinmistress around, showered her with congratulatory messages
Pierra told The Standard that she has been dating the father of the unborn baby for four years now, and that their relationship is at an “advanced stage”.

“I really don’t want to discuss the details about our relationship. I want to keep it private. All I can say is that his name is Shawn and that he runs a business and lives outside the country. Only family members and close friends have met him in those four years we have dated. I will be introducing him to the public when the right time comes,” she said.

But days after making this revelation, the DJ has now come out to reveal she is no longer with the man responsible for her pregnancy.
Speaking to K24’s Alfajiri show with Amina Mohammed, Pierre said they broke up with Shawn days before she knew she is pregnant.

“He had moved on and dating by the time I discovered that I was pregnant and didn’t want to disrupt what they had just because I was pregnant…he started dating while we were not together so it’s all good,” Pierre said.

She went on to say that she is now determined to raise her child as a single mother because the baby daddy is dating someone else and she is not ready to deny him peace.
But she is open to him, saying he will decide what to do with his kid.

“He is an amazing man, but I don’t want to confuse my child so I’ll raise him as a single mum then later he can decide what he wants to do,” she added.

The DJ said she is currently dating someone else who has accepted her the way she is and is crazy about the pregnancy.
